Workshop Overview

The workshop aimed to provide participants with hands-on experience in using AI tools, with a special focus on the Tibetan language. The session covered various aspects of AI and its applications in language processing.

Session Summaries

Session 1: Introduction to Machine Learning

  • Time: 10:10 am - 11:10 am
  • A brief intro to Machine Learning focuses on how texts and images are tagged.
  • Text tagging with the Tibetan language as an example was explored in detail.

Session 2: Introduction to Creation Tools

  • Time: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Canva, Google Docs and Microsoft Word were introduced
  • The focus was on how to use these tools in the Tibetan language
  • Tricks to bypass issues on Microsoft Word where the Tibetan language can't be accessed and be used at its full potential were explored.
  • Google Docs and its features were introduced.
  • These creation tools were introduced with hands-on training.

Session 3: Introduction to AI Tools

  • Time: 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
  • Introduction to various AI tools and their applications
  • Demonstration of AI tools working with Tibetan language
  • Hands-on practice with AI tools

Session 4: Practical Applications

  • Time: 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm
  • Practical applications of AI in Tibetan language processing
  • Case studies and success stories
  • Q&A and discussion
